Thanks to my housemate, Susan who guides me how to make Tiramisu. I am also learnt a lot of Italian dessert recipes from her. Tiramisu is also one of my popular teatime desserts because of I love the tangy coffee filling flavoured. Tiramisu is made of cake dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks and mascarpone, and flavoured with liquor and cocoa. In addition; Tiramisu literally translates to "Pick me up."
History of Tiramisu Dessert Recipes. The history of Tiramisu dessert recipes was originated from Siena where it was first made for the benefit of Duke Cosimo de Medici. Both the Duke and others liked it so much that it caught on quick and spread along with Italian immigrants to the rest of the world.

Ingredients of Tiramisu Dessert Recipes
To prepare the Tiramisu Dessert for 4 persons serving, you are required to ready the following ingredients:
  • 60 grams sugar
  • 1/3 cup sweet Marsala wine
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 pound Mascarpone cheese
  • 200ml hot water
  • 3 teaspoons instant coffee powder
  • 1/3 cup coffee-flavored liqueur
  • Unsweetened cocoa for dusting cake
  • Approximately 12 ounces ladyfingers
  • 1 ounce semi-sweet chocolate, grated (optional)

How to Make Tiramisu Dessert
Step 1: Whisk sugar, wine, and egg yolks in a metal bowl.
Step 2: Set the bowl over a saucepan of boiling water.
Step 3: Whisk constantly until mixture begins to thicken, about 5 minutes.
Step 4: Remove bowl and whisk in cheese until smooth.
Step 5: Combine 1-1/2 cups hot water with instant coffee.  Stir to dissolve powder. Add liqueur.
Step 6: Dip 1 ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, turn to coat, and quickly remove.
Step 7: Place the cookie, rounded side down in the bottom of an 8-inch square dish.
Step 8: Repeat with additional ladyfingers to cover the bottom of the pan. Pour 1/2 of cheese mixture over.
Step 9: Repeat procedure with another layer of ladyfingers and another layer of cheese.
Step 10: Refrigerate until firm, about 4 hours.
Step 11: Before serving, dust top with cocoa. Garnish with grated chocolate, if desired.
